• I don’t have a vector graphic file to send you, can you help me?

  

  Our technical department is very expert and happy to help you create your graphic design. They will email this to you promptly for your approval, so that we can create the product that suits your needs and has the right look.

• I only have a JPEG image of the logo, can I send that to you?

  

  If you send a JPEG image, our technical department will reconstruct the logo and turn it into a vector file designed for professional use.

• What kind of file should we provide?

  

  A vector file, not an image, as that can’t be edited and doesn’t allow us to create a high-definition layout. For logos, PDF/AI files are fine, but for cutting templates we require DXF files.

• Is it better to send a paper pattern or a DFX file?

  

  With a paper pattern, we have to redesign the template with a possible margin of error, so it is important for us to have the DFX file.

• Why can a physical paper pattern also be important?

  

  Sometimes when a file is converted it turns out to be different from the model you’ve submitted. Therefore it’s a good idea to send a hard copy so that we can check that everything conforms to the intended result.

• Can you add marks/cuts or notches to the template that you’re cutting?

  

  Certainly, just specify this at time of request and provide all the directions on the files. Helping and facilitating the work of those involved in the later stages of assembling and sewing the finished product is greatly appreciated, and speeds up the process of making the garment or shoe.

• I want to make sure that the new design I’ve chosen for my accessory is exactly what I want: can you provide a virtual simulation?

  

  Yes, our technical department can provide a realistic simulation of your accessory as it will appear, using the materials and printing methods that you’ve chosen.

• Do you require a minimum order size?

  

  It’s not our practice to impose a minimum order size, especially when making items with materials we have available. Depending on the complexity of the item and the availability of the material, we might indicate the minimum number of pieces required for a good price/quality ratio.

• What costs would I incur for a customized prototype with my logo?

  

  The cost of creating a customized prototype includes a lump sum that covers the costs of machine start-up, materials and the requisite machining. In addition to this, there are the expenses for creating the project-specific equipment.

• Can I have free samples for consideration?

  

  Our team of experts will be happy to select the samples that best suit your needs. We can send you a selection of materials to provide you with inspiration and to help you create your accessory, to carry out your own tests, or just to try using them and assess the product quality.

• If I want a hot press printed prototype, do I have to pay for the equipment?

  

  If you don’t want the costs of the equipment, we can simulate the print by using a laser technique, which will reduce the costs of producing the sample.

• If there’s a problem with the delivery of my goods, who’s responsible for tracking my packages?

  

  If there’s a problem, we’ll check the tracking number straight away and, in the event of a delay, we’ll notify you of the new delivery date.

• Can I be sent my products in customized packaging?

  

  Yes, we can send your product in the way you want and divided into the quantities you want, so providing a completely tailor-made service.

• Can I increase or reduce the thickness of this detail?

  

  Yes, it is quite possible to adjust the thickness of a detail as required. It can be reduced or increased to suit the intended use, the desired appearance, or the required performance.

• What costs would I incur for a customized prototype with my logo?

• What are the time-frames for production?

  

  Depending on the type of product, the quantity required and the availability of the raw material, we usually aim to deliver in 3 to 6 working weeks.To suit your needs, we accept both down payments and part payments on request.

• How will I know if the products you make for me and any subsequent reorders will comply with the accepted sample?

  

  To ensure that every production run and any subsequent reorders comply with the chosen sample, our technicians undertake to constantly monitor the production process. Each batch is carefully checked to ensure it is as consistent as possible with the sample, while taking into account the natural variability of leather. This thorough monitoring process enables us to maintain high quality and consistency with previous batches.

• How long do I need to wait to receive a customized sample?

  

  It depends on the processing and the material. For simple projects, we try to ship within 7 to10 days; for more complex projects, or when the materials need to be made to order or in a particular color, this might take up to 2 to 3 weeks. In any event, we try to come up with a proposal that fulfills the criteria but also the time frame for the project.

• What if I have an idea but I don’t know if it will be feasible and what it will cost?

  

  If you have an idea but are unsure about its feasibility or cost, our technical department will examine every aspect. When a sample is requested, we assess the feasibility of the project, and choose the most suitable equipment to achieve the best final result. This is done by taking into account both the quantity to be produced and the specified budget, so as to find the most effective and well-balanced solution for your specific case.

• If I want a hot press printed prototype, do I have to pay for the equipment?

  

  If you don’t want the costs of the equipment, we can simulate the print by using a laser technique, which will reduce the costs of producing the sample.

• If I am undecided about the material to use for my accessory, can you send me suggestions and samples of suitable materials?

  

  Certainly. We’d be happy to provide you with a range of materials to suit the process you’ve chosen and the look you want to achieve.

• Can I ask for the material I’ve chosen to be tested by a Certified Body?

  

  Yes, our technical department can arrange to have these tests conducted by Certified Bodies, which provide official results.

• Can I apply a dark-colored detail to a light-colored garment or shoe?

  

  It’s not advisable to add contrasting details when using leather, nappa leather, split leather, suede or microfiber. Synthetic materials and faux leathers, on the other hand, are okay, as they are at less risk of running than natural materials.

• Can your leather accessories be both washed and dry cleaned?

  

  Yes, we offer many types and colors that can be either washed or dry cleaned, including pairings and edgings. However, it’s best to choose an accessory that matches the garment and to avoid contrasting colors.

• If I want to print my logo on the template for one of my garments or my shoes, how can I be sure that it will always be positioned in the right place throughout the production process?

  

  The Piovese Method includes a precise positioning technique, which ensures that the item is perfectly centered on each template and makes all mass production completely secure.

• If I want to use environmentally sustainable materials, how can I be sure that this option will not create problems for future production?

  

  It depends on the individual material. We already know through experience how to select or advise against certain materials. On the other hand, if it’s a new material, we can subject it to a rigorous test using the Piovese Method, and if it passes, that will ensure its feasibility and the final quality of the accessory.

• Can you use any type of process on the material I select?

  

  Through our experience and the use of the Piovese Method, involving special tests on the material, we can confirm whether it’s suitable for the type of processing you’ve chosen. If not, we’ll choose a form of processing or a substrate that will give better results and which, importantly, will not create any problems for future production.

• Can the final quality of my accessory be guaranteed?

  

  Yes, we perform quality control at every stage of production. We have a special inspection bench where we check each individual piece of leather, removing and discarding any areas with imperfections. Before the packaging stage, every individual accessory goes through a final quality control screening, to be either packaged or discarded.
